Thomas has followed a pathway that allows him to focus on his special interests of cosmetic dentistry and prosthodontics, in particular complex rehabilitation and management of tooth wear.
Thomas qualified with honours from Cardiff University in 2014. Following his graduation, he undertook posts in restorative dentistry and oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University Hospital of Wales.
He has completed further qualifications and training, including a certificate course in restorative and cosmetic dentistry under leading UK cosmetic dentist Chris Orr. He has completed the curriculum of the prestigious Dawson Institute in Florida and his examinations for membership to the Royal College of Surgeons (England). He has also completed a three-year Global Diagnosis Curriculum with Drs Bill Robbins and Jim Otten. Most recently, Thomas has attained a distinction in a double master’s degree in clinical dentistry (prosthodontics) at King’s College London. He is now a mentor for current students undertaking this course.
Thomas previously enjoyed being a trainer for the East Anglia Deanery, passing on his enthusiasm and knowledge to both young dentists and hygiene students.
Thomas enjoys utilising the principles of minimal intervention dentistry to create functional and aesthetic smiles for his patients. He creates a carefully tailored plan for each patient by listening to their concerns.
