Arranging an appointment as a new patient is easy and only a few clicks away.
When we first see you, we’ll want to get to know the person behind the smile. New Patient Consultations take a bit longer than a standard check-up. There’s a bit of form filling and note-taking, but essentially we just want to know about your general health and if there’s any problems that might be affecting your smile.
Your first appointment will mostly consist of a thorough dental examination. During this, we’ll get a good look at your teeth, gums and mouth. We look for signs of tooth decay and gum disease, as these can affect your oral health more drastically if left untreated.
Your dentist will then discuss any recommendations and options with you, and, if necessary, x-rays will be taken at this appointment. We use the latest in digital technology for all our x-rays, they can be shown to you on our screens in a matter of minutes and keep radiation to a minimum.
You will also have the opportunity to find out more about cosmetic and advanced treatments.
It’s a natural reaction to be nervous about seeing a Dentist. Dental phobia can be caused through a multitude of reasons, whether a fear of needles or due to a previous bad experience. We completely understand if you’re an anxious patient and do all we can to make your experience as relaxed as possible. If you need any treatment, we use local anaesthetic to reduce discomfort and can also offer conscious sedation.
The very best way for us to help you overcome any fears is through talking. We’re more than happy to chat through any concerns you have.
