Dental implants are the next best thing to natural teeth. Permanent, reliable and confidence-restoring, they can complete and make a smile.

Missing a tooth? We can replace it using an artificial root called an implant. When topped with a natural-looking restoration, it will look very much like the tooth you lost and it can last just as long as a natural tooth.

Why have an implant?

Restore your smile and your confidence

No one wants a missing tooth, especially if the gap is visible when you smile. Implants offer a completely natural-looking solution to filling the gap. Whether it’s for just a single tooth or multiple teeth, implants could help you smile again without worrying.

Long-lasting replacements

Implants are made from titanium, the best metal to use as it’s so well accepted by the body. Once healed, the implants fuse to the jaw and can last for a life-time if looked after properly. Great oral care on top of a good interdental cleaning regime will help implants last for as long as possible.

Great for overall oral health

Leaving a gap in your smile can cause problems later on. The adjacent teeth shift to accommodate the space which can affect your bite. Over time, the jaw bone recedes without a suitable foundation for support. Implants act as an artificial root and so prevent this from happening.

Having a gap in your smile can feel like having a gap in your life. We can help you with this.

Types of implant treatment

Single
implants

A single implant can replace one missing tooth with a crown. However, because implants can support more weight than a natural tooth root, a single implant can also support a bridge.

Multiple implants

If you have more than one missing tooth, we can use more than one implant. Depending on your case, we can use bridges and crowns together to complete a large gap in your smile.

Full mouth restoration

Implants can restore a full smile by supporting a full arch of teeth. Full mouth restorations make a huge difference, completing a whole smile and bringing normality to patients who were without teeth.

Implant-retained dentures

Already wear dentures? We can use implants to support your dentures so they are more secure. We will need to adjust your dentures so they can fit onto the implants.

The Implant Process

  1. We first take x-rays and 3D scans to asses your bone density to make sure an implant is best for you.
  2. We place the implant in the bone, using local anaesthetic. It takes a few months for the implant to fuse to the bone
  3. Once healed, we expose the top of the implant and take impressions, to make a crown, bridge or full arch at the dental lab.
  4. When finished, we invite you back for the fitting and you’ll leave with a complete smile.
